Diets teach you how to lose weight quickly using willpower and a finish line mentality, and then you slowly start gaining the weight back.

The Overeating Cycle…

For years, I would wake up in the morning promising myself to eat perfectly. No sugar, no bread, no carbs….you know how we get….we convince ourselves that we have finally made a bold decision. And I would stay on track until right around 4 pm, when all of a sudden I would change my mind. I would decide that today wasn’t a good day for this, I would rather wait till tomorrow. And since tomorrow was now the plan, I might as well dive into all my favorite foods! I would overeat, only to lie my head on my pillow at the end of the night, frustrated with myself….again.

I would play out his overeating cycle EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I thought there was something wrong with me. Why was I so accomplished in other areas of my life, but when it came to food, I was out of control?

Why did I change my mind when 4 pm rolled around?

Here is what I know now that I didn’t know then…..

I didn’t change my mind at 4 pm; I let another part of my brain take over. I let my emotions take over.

I had no idea how to manage my thoughts and emotions to be able to feel in control of my eating.

Then everything changed. The cycle stopped…..

I enrolled in a life coach certification program where I learned about my brain and its influence on my behavior. I got to the root cause of my eating. I learned how to process and manage my emotions. I created a process for how to make a plan that I could ACTUALLY stick to. This plan was focused on eating better, but in a way I wanted to live my life.

I became the woman who eats better every day, without being perfect. I lost the weight I was struggling with, and now live in a body that feels like me. I feel free.

What Makes My Program Different?

If you're like most of my clients, you have been frustrated with your weight, health, and SELF for years. You have tried MANY times. And part of you doesn’t even want to be on my website right now, thinking about trying again!

But what I do is different. I help you uncover the cause of your eating, and we fix that. Because, although extra scoops of peanut butter and handfuls of pretzels taste good (my go-to is chips and hummus), this is not the reason you are eating when you promised you wouldn’t.

Here are a few of the possible reasons you are eating when you promised yourself you wouldn’t:

~ You're eating to avoid feeling negative emotions: ex. boredom, frustration, stress.

~ You’re unaware of your brain’s wiring and its programming to keep you seeking pleasure in the moment.

~ You don’t think events will be quite as fun without the food and alcohol, and you don’t think you should have to be deprived of the fun.

~ You have been listening to your brain’s excuses even though deep down you know you can do better.

~ Lastly, you have never been successful with keeping the weight off for good, so part of you thinks this is a hopeless endeavor.

What is my Solution?

Changing YOU.

Not every part of you….because there are so many wonderful parts.

But we need to up-level you into a woman who lives differently.

In my program I will teach you how to eat better without having to give up all of your favorite foods. This is hard to believe at first, but we need to get you eating better forever, not perfect for a short time period.

I will teach you how to process your emotions instead of having to eat to avoid them. You will learn that you can feel negative emotions without turning to food, AND I will teach you how to also get out of these negative emotions faster.

I will teach you how to understand your brain. Because your primitive brain is not going anywhere, and it always wants you to feel pleasure and get out of pain. When you understand how your brain is wired and can increase your awareness in the moment, you gain control.

I will also teach you how to make a plan and stick to it EVEN when you don’t feel motivated. Motivation is fleeting, but determination and self-trust are what you will learn.

You will learn how to mess up all of this and quickly get back on track. Because you don’t need to be perfect, you never will be. Life gets hard and you will become the woman who is equipped to put herself and her health first even when your day goes sideways.
